This technique is targeted at stiff joints (e.g. spinal, hip, elbow, shoulder, etc). Joints can be stiff in a single direction or in all directions and the cause maybe the tissues relating to the joint itself or the muscles/tendons/ligaments that work over it. Whichever the reason, articulation involves isolating that joint and then moving it in a manner that relaxes or stretches these tissues enabling greater movement.
